Ride announce long awaited reunion tour to kick off with a date as Glasgow Barrowlands
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

British shoegaze pioneers Ride have reunited and will tour across the world next year. We are delighted to announce that the tour will begin with a show at Glasgows Barrowland Ballroom, on Friday 22nd May 2015.

Tickets will be available this coming Friday 21st November, at 9AM.

Ride formed in 1988, and released several influential albums including 1990's Nowhere and 1992's Going Blank Again. They broke up in 1996, following the release of that year's Tarantula. Though the band was filmed together in 2001 for Channel 4's Pioneers documentary on Sonic Youth, they haven't formally existed since breaking up. Recently, guitarist Andy Bell had been playing with Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye.

"Sonic Highways commands you to rock out, stadium-style, around your living room" Time Out

"...a wealth of musical treasure to unearth" DIY

To coincide with the release of their 8th studio album Sonic Highways, which came out this week to critical acclaim, Foo Fighters have announced a five-date UK stadium tour next summer, with tickets going on sale at 10am on November 21st. The band will kick-off the tour at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light, then heading on to The Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester followed by London for a two-night run at Wembley Stadium - a venue the Foo Fighters have a strong affinity with after two record setting shows in 2008.

Final stop is Scotland to bring the curtain down on the tour with what will be a momentous show at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium.

Sonic Highways was recorded in eight different musical capital cities of America, with the process and related experiences documented in an eight-part docuseries broadcast on BBC Four. The result is an amazing companion to the most ambitious Foo Fighters record to date--the same is sure to be said of this stadium tour in the year of the band's 20th anniversary.

A welcome return to our series or late night electronic gigs. Ninja Tune’s Daedalus brings much more than most into live production of electronic music. Part of the Low End Theory scene alongside Gaslamp Killer and FlyLo, his live improvisation on a Monomer controller is an extraordinary sight, as is the man himself, an American Dandy with a raw dangerous street cool.

Mosca nearly got caught up in a wave of commercial ‘deep’ house but held fast to the underground instead, putting out outstanding and diverse productions that cross genres and sidestep cliches and formulas. He makes house that’s deep, catchy, but energetic and unlike anyone else.

ROMAN NOSE are a Glaswegian collective trio who write and produce their own brand of dark, menacing electronic music. Mixing visuals, laptops and live percussion in their high pressure multi-sensory shows, they also combine bespoke masks and customized denim clad biker chic, boasting a striking audio / visual presence.

Formed in late 2011, their bass-heavy embryonic existence and ‘full pelt’ electronica has already ensured a support slot with 2manydjs, L.A electro giants, The Glitch Mob and most recently Flux Pavilion and Norwegian tech-metalers Combichrist. The release of their debut EP 'Youthclubbed' in Feb 2013 (Boasting The Scotsman’s track of the month in March) resulted in their nomination for Best Electronic Act at this years Scottish Alternative Music Awards and performance at Scotland’s premier music business conference ‘Wide Days’. The momentum built from the previous shows resulted in invitations to play at many of the countries most prestigious festivals including Go North, Wickerman, Belladrum and in the King Tuts Tent at T In The Park.

ROMAN NOSE released a second EP “Long Live Our Friend The Revolver!” in October 2013. A full-length debut album is planned for release 2014.
